I am a London-based amateur photographer.Most of my work involves landscapes, wildlife, or urban scenes.I occasionally cover public events (demonstrations, sports) as a "citizen journalist" as time permits.
In 2011 I was shortlisted in the Outdoor Photographer of the Year competition, and in the Take-A-View Landscape Photographer of the Year competition.I was commended in the latter and published in the book "Landscape Photographer of the Year, Collection 5".At the time of writing I have reached the finals of the 2012 Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.

The "Shadwell Boys" take a dive into the Thames. On Britain's hottest weekend of the year. Thames Barrier park in East London saw large numbers come to enjoy the sun. These young men were diving from the pier by Barrier Point.

In recent days the London Cable Car, officially known as the Emirates Air Line, has been undergoing operational testing. The cable car will open during the summer, though possibly not in time for the 2012 Olympics in London.

With much of Britain officially declared to be in drought, the country is now being hit by the wettest weather since December. The Environment Agency has warned of localised flooding on Sunday.
