The National Health Action Party with co-founder Dr Clive Peedell took part in the demonstration in London to fight the sell off of NHS services. Addressing the large crowd Dr Peedell called for an end to the governments privatisation policy.

A plaque was unveiled in honour of Leveller Thomas Rainborough who was buried at St John's churchyard Wapping. Speakers included Tony Benn, Jeremy Corbyn and Rania Khan with the Rainsborough Regiment of the Sealed Knot who fired a volley of muskets.

A campaign has been started to stop the undercroft at the Southbank being relocated. This famous skate park has existed as a hub for skaters, BMXers and artists for 40 years. The Southbank centre has plans to make this area a new festival wing.

An event started 6 years ago to celebrate independent record stores has become international and is now an estabilshed event on the music lovers calender. Record Store Day held on the 3rd Saturday every year in April.

A crowd of a hundred plus gathered in Portsmouth Guildhall Square to protest against the introduction in April of the Bedroom tax bill. Portsmouth joined in with many other large demonstrations across the country in demanding the bill to be scrapped.

Brian Muir the original Darth Vader sculptor with Dorset Storm Troopers, opens the 2013 Sand Sculpture Festival Weymouth. This years theme being Sci-Fi there are variety of sand sculpture creations including Star Trek, Aliens and many more.

A march was held in London in protest at the selling off of a quarter of Whittington's Hospital blocks to raise £17.000.000. Starting from Highbury Corner and ending in a rally at the hospital where several speakers addressed a 1500 plus crowd.

Wilko Johnson played Koko's in London. After being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer late last year, Wilko Johnson and band members Norman Watt Roy and Dylan Howe have embarked on a series of gigs around the UK called the Farewell Tour.
