I call myself a storyteller with a camera. Ever since I was a little girl, I would stay up late with the older folks just to hear the stories that visiting relatives have brought with them. I wasn't always allowed to stay up late though. But the camera has made me go out there looking and wandering around for stories that attract me. Sometimes, it can just be a brown old door of a house on the corner of my street or a woman gathering river shells in some out of way place. Photography is just a medium to tell my stories.
