My name is Mariusz Smiejek and I'm a freelance photographer based in Belfast.
Ever since I remember I was fascinated by other cultures, people and travel.
I feel very fortunate that my dreams became my reality.
For 10 years now I've been traveling around the Europe, Middle East and Latin America, until this day I have visited more than 20 countries.I have shot countless travel and editorial features for some of the leading publications in the world.
My pictures have appeared in National Geographic, BBC, National Geographic Traveler among many others.
My customers include: National Geographic, Aviva, Unison UK, The National United Arab Emirates and many more.
I participated in photography workshops with National Geographic photographer Tomasz Tomaszewski and National Geographic editor in chief Marcin Jamkowski.

In the very center of Belfast some young Irish teenagers sang Irish songs (Including those about IRA) and seeing the police, chanted "RUC" (Royal Ulster Constabulary) for a while, but then calmed down and turned to more traditional celebrations.
