Personal Statement

Belgian, b.1977

Max Gyselinck was born in 1977 in Brussels, Belgium where he grew up.
He discovered photography at the age of 17 by picturing his friends and surroundings.
After graduating from the institut de radioelectricite et de cinematographie (INRACI) and from the ecole superieure de l’image “le 75” in Brussels, he decided to move to Athens and began his career as a free-lance professional photographer in 2002.
Often published in national and international magazines, he is now focusing his work on post-conflict countries and human rights.
