Personal Statement

I have been a performer/mime/clown for a long time. For a while I was in the internationally acclaimed show 'Men in coats.'

In the last few years I have worked as a photographer creating an events company called the Pressmen www.pressmen.co.uk In this company we have merged performance as fake paparazzi and reportage photography.

I enjoy street photography and covering news

and I have just taken up playing the ukelele which is incredible fun

Re: your comments on the 3.0

Re: your comments on the 3.0 Strat Week-ender!
- Uploads: we're redesigning the Upload page, for starters. It's counter-intuitive, and it's messy, let alone slow. We're also finalising FTP upload now and that should be up by Monday (!). Other suggestions - Fachphoto thank you particularly - I've forwarded onto our CTOs for them to look at. I like Yousentit personally, but not sure whether it's an easy thing to integrate.
- G-Analytics per user. our thinking is that we'd put development resources into allowing contributors to see which of your pictures are being downloaded by Mainstream Media houses. More useful, no? It'll give you an automatic sense of what's working for them.
- Instant Messenger on Demotix. I adore this idea, and we've been batting it about since the beginning. Would this be something you'd use? Would look more like Facebook or G-Chat than Skype.
- Standardised Tagging. The holy grail. How? Who does this properly? Any ideas at all would help this tech-unsavvy CEO figure out where we might head.
- Demotix Shop: T-shirts with a big 'PRESS' sign on the back and the Demotix logo on the front (or something - design ideas more than welcome)? Would that potentially be useful? We'd have to charge for those, but I can't imagine that would cost more than £5 or so? Anything else?
- Mark: your G20 pics. Almost certainly that was a manual screw-up this end. For which apologies. And one more reason to ensure we fix our Upload process.
Looking forward to Thursday!
