PERSONAL STATEMENT:

Nugroho Budianggoro, or Nugi, is a self-taught photographer based in Jakarta, Indonesia. He was born in Jakarta in 1981 and pursued his first degree in biology major at the University of Indonesia, specializing in entomology. He started to take pictures extensively in 2006 with a pocket camera. By 2008, he decided to turn to photojournalism path. Nugi is interested in photographing social and environmental issues.
