Old Palace Yard turned yellow and green as thousands of Brazilians gathered outside Parliament to hold a protest in solidarity with the current demonstrations occurring in Brazil.

A group of anti capitalists demonstrated in central London ahead of the G8 meeting in Northern Ireland next week. There were a few scuffles and arrests as the day mainly consisted of running battles between the protestors and police.

A large group of Turkish demonstrators gathered outside Downing Street to show support and solidarity for the ongoing protests in Turkey. The protest later moved onto Trafalgar Square.

"Big IF” event was held in Hyde Park to raise awareness of food poverty ahead of the G8 meeting in Northern Ireland. Thousands attended the event Hosted by Gethin Jones and Myleene Klass, it included speeches by Bill Gates and Danny Boyle.

Roads were closed and traffic diverted from Victoria Embankment as a result of a motorbike collision.

Minor scuffles occurred between members of the United against Fascism (UAF) group and the metropolitan police outside Parliament. There were also clashes between the anti-fascist campaigners and BNP supporters.

Thousands gathered marched from Waterloo to Downing Street in a demonstration against the governments handling of the NHS and the proposed funding cuts.

The comedy program "The Revolution will be televised" won a Bafta for the comedy program in 2013. It beat other programs such as "Mr Stink" and "Cardinal burns".
