Born and raised in Zimbabwe, I moved to the UK in 2000.
I started shooting seriously in the mid 90s - mainly commercial work for my design and advertising clients, but covered a few political events as a second camera for a freelance photographer friend as the political temperature began to increase from 1997 onwards.
With design work rather thin on the ground and in need of a change, I have started shooting and writing a blog, The Faces of Occupy which is published on the Huffington Post. This blog is regularly featured on the front page.I use a standard interview format where each personality answers the same questions, allowing the reader to compare the answers of each person.I have buit up a large library of several thousand images related to Occupy London, some of which I will be placing on Demotix.
I have other photographic projects in development, all featuring editorial portraiture and interviews with my subjects.
Aside from what you see here, I also enjoy shooting landscapes and conceptual images.
