At the European Commission, commissioner Karel de Gught and others gathered for a ceremony for the victims of the accident in a tunnel in Switzerland. Belgium was in mourning, with flags halfmast on all buildings and one minute silence.

Tomorrow Belgium will mourn the 28 victims of a crash in a Swiss tunnel. Twenty-two children and six adults were killed, when returning from their skiing holiday, organized by a Christian insurance company. Today most flags were half-mast already.
