One of the world’s largest cargo airplanes, the Antonov An-124 lands in Sarajevo airport. The 175 tons beast landed in the Bosnian capital to deliver equipment for the upcoming EUFOR military training exercises.

Bosnia beat Greece 3-1 during their World Cup qualifying match in Zenica. Edin Dzeko scored two and Vedad Ibisevic scored one goal that helped Bosnia win and lead group G in the 2014 World cup qualifiers in the European region.

Nazif Mujić received award for the best actor (Silver Bear) at Berlinare Film Festival in Berlin. Nazif acted him self in the movie An Episode in the Life of an Iron Picker, movie by Danis Tanovic who also received Silver bear for the movie.

Bosnian Serbs say pray and burn dried oak branches of the Yule log on Orthodox Christmas Eve in the Old Serbian Orthodox Church in Sarajevo. Bosnian Serbs as Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas according to the old calendar.

Bosnian Catholics took part in prayers and sang Christmas carols during the annual Christmas midnight mass in Sarajevo’s main Cathedral. The mass was led by the head of the Catholic church in Bosnia-Herzegovina Cardinal Vinko Puljic.

EU Enlargement Commissioner Stefan Fule addresses media with leaders of Bosnian major parties in Sarajevo. Fule is on an official two day visit to Bosnia where he had meetings with top Bosnian politicians regarding a Bosnian road map to the EU.

Slovakian president Ivan Gasparovic is on a official two day visit to Bosnia. Gasparovic is welcomed by the chairman of the Bosnian presidency Nebojsa Radmanovic in the front of a honour guard in Sarajevo.

Bosnian supporters of Palestinians walk through the center of Sarajevo carrying Bosnian and Palestinian flags and pro-Palestinian banners. Hundreds of protesters peacefully protest against Israel’s military action in the Gaza Strip.
