The leader of Slovenia opposition and Mayor of Slovenia capital Ljubljana, Zoran Janković was arrested in a major corruption investigation. His son Jure Janković was also arrested, after the National Bureau of Investigation searched 23 homes.

The Slovenian public sector goes on strike with around 4000 to 5000 people gathering in front of the Governement in Ljubljana. Workers went on strike to denounce cuts in wages and austerity cuts.
