Waseem Asmar

I’m Waseem Asmar from the costal city of Lattakia in Syria, a fifth year
student in Networks Engineering College/Tishreen University.

I had worked an IT for four years and now working the same in
another company besides my study in partial time.

My passion in photography reflects my love of beauty and deep thinking how
Great God is, and by this addiction my whole way of watching world around
Me changed forever!

I started photography in 1996 using simple KODAK film camera then the
Russian Zenit (taught by my Dad) and now I’m happy with my Nikon DSLR.

Besides my experience in photography I’m a very good post processor
Using many digital techniques like HDR, DRI, ORTON, TEXTURIZING…
Supported by my computer knowledge due to my study.

In 2007 I made my first web gallery on FLICKR and thankfully could made
Myself seen there among many great and professional photographers worldwide,
having many photos on EXPLORE!

On the 9th of may 2009 I won the first place in the competition
“Lattakia In Photos” and became more recognized within my city and
Country, then had many of my photos published by “Al-Shateh ADV Group”

I wish I could find who really believes in my abilities and give me chance to
Move forward! and gain new friendships ;-)
